Research Facilities

A career and course guidance centre is functioning in the college for helping the students to know and select their career and courses.  Awareness programs are conducted by experts to selected group of students. Reference books are made available in the library for equipping the students to undergo competitive examinations.The UGC has approved a grant of Rs. 6 lakhs for the services of the college Course & Career Guidance Cell. Utilising the fund,, the college has drawn up an elaborate training programmes for various levels of students

An association of the old students of the college is functional under the name “Unity College Alumini Association (UCAA)”. It is intented to serve a common platform for the former students to keep their rapport and interact with the college and for their participation in the overall development of the Alma Mater.As an initial promising step to ‘the plastic free campus’ we, Unity College Alumni Association (UCAA), conducted a “One day workshop on: Paper Bag Making” on 23rd February 2012 at Unity College Auditorium (10.00am to 4.00pm)

Literary Club is an attempt to identify and catalyze the emerging literary skills to foreground their creative and artistic skills. Here we are conducting practices on creative writing, appreciation of the works of various writers, face to face interaction with writers etc.

An internal quality assurance cell has been set up in the college as a post accreditation quality sustenance measure.  Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will work towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance.  Further, it will channelize the efforts and measures of the institution towards academic excellence.

Music Club of Unity is an effort to identify and promote musical talent among our students.  It aims to groom the gifted ones by providing quality training and varied exposure in various fields related to music.  Setting up of an orchestra of our own is also on the agenda.

The college provides opportunities for playing Badminton, Table Tennis, Cricket, Ball Badminton and also participating in Athletics. In addition a well equiped fitness center for maintainig the wellness of the students.   The Physical Education Council, which consists of the members of the staff Advisory Committee, and the team captains arrange and organise the sports activities.  .

A number of trophies have been set up to encourage active participation in sports.  Ms.Aparna Balan, our former student is currently representing India in various international championships.

The Tourism club has been registered with District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC),Malappuram in the academic year 2004-’05.  The main objective of the club is to create awareness among the students about the socio-economic relevant of tourism and importance of tourism in their career

At the beginning of the academic year, students are grouped in to different batches and placed under the personal charge of a teacher designated as ‘tutor’. He/she will keep regular monitoring of the attendance, progress and conduct of students under him/her and will give necessary guidance. Students shall forward all applications including leave to the principal through the concerned class tutor. University application forms shall be attested by the class tutor. The progress report of the students will also be intimated to parents by the class tutor.

To keep abreast with the changing scenario in higher education, employment and research a Network Resource Centre is set up in the campus. The centre, functioning in the college library has broad band internet facility, accessible to all students and staff.

For helping very needy & financially backward students a general fund is raised from staff & students in the form of donations. Selected students will get financial assistance from the saf. A fund is also raised to meet the monthly bus fare of deserving students by contribution from teachers.
