College Excellence Meet 2024 Principals and Managers meet-up ——————————— On 26th August 2024, the Manager, Er.O. Abdul Ali, the Principal, Dr. Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, the former Principal and management member, Prof. P N Abdurahiman and the NIRF Nodal Officer, Dr Fatimathu Zuhara N V participated in the College Excellence Meet 2024 organised by the Centre for Information and Guidance India (CIGI), Calicut. The Principals and Managers meet-up was conducted with the aim to guide the HEIs to excel in NIRF ranking, NAAC accreditation, student placements and new generation courses. The speakers gave an overview of the key categories, need and requirements for NIRF ranking and NAAC accreditation. The organisers also insisted on the current need for starting innovative job oriented skill development programmes to enhance student enrolment in HEIs. The manager expressed the concern for improving Alumni involvement and employability of students. Prof. P N Abdurahiman appreciated the initiative taken by CIGI to raise the HEIs towards national standards and advised the institutions to take collaborative measures with CIGI for consistent development. The Principal suggested to categorise the colleges on the basis of their status and to provide online workshops to assist them in their journey towards excellence. The NIRF nodal officer requested detailed workshops on the key areas specified and discipline wise expert workshops to design new programmes based on the demand of students. The whole-group discussions evolved effective strategies to be adopted to outshine in quality assessments.
