As a part of National commerce day, the Department of Commerce of KAHM Unity women’s college conducted a one day celebration titled ‘COM BONHOMIE’ on Aug 1, 2022. The objective of the event was to spread a message about the significance and scope of commerce in day to day life and to make students aware about opportunities in commerce. Various competitions were held as part of it. In the morning, logo identification competition (Brand Brigades) and quiz competition (Com quiz) were conducted at the college level. With the aim of imparting real time learning experience on how budding business ideas can be converted into promising opportunities, an expo, Unity Bazar was organized with more than 20 business outlets under different descriptions. It was followed by a career guidance session, ‘Exploring the vista of commerce avenues’ for commerce students in which Dr. Siddeeque Melmuri, Assistant Professor, University of Calicut served as the resource person. Cash prizes were given to the winners. Nivedida.P, Guest faculty of Commerce Department was the coordinator of the programme.
