18 students of final year MA English Language and Literature participated in the the two day international seminar on ” Cultural Studies in Future Tense” held on 4 th and 5th September at Malabar Christian College, Calicut, which brought together scholars, researchers, and students to explore the intersections of space, time, and technology in shaping cultural narratives in contemporary society.
The seminar commenced with an inaugural address by Dr. K. Narayana Chandran (Prof. in literary and cultural theory, University of Hyderabad) on “What will culture be, when we study it? What will it not be when we do not “. Dr. Arjun Appadurai (Emiritus Prof. New York University) in his keynote address examined the concept of ” Flow, Liquidity, Waves, Aqueous Tropee in Global Studies.”
