Department of Zoology & Women Cell collaborated with Government Medical College Hospital, Manjeri to screen three hundred women including students and staff of the institution for “ Anaemia “ on 13th and 14th March 2023 . Screening was an eye-opener into ones Haemoglobin level . Suggestion to improve the Hb level through dietary interventions were given to those with poor value and few were advised to consult physician for medication. As a corrective measure, the department of Homesciece shall look into the menu planned by the inmates at college hostel and bring in supplements to make it a balanced one.
