The responsibility of making the uniform easily available to the students was taken up by the Department of Home Science. Consistent follow-up and enquiries made this extension activity doubly beneficial. Students had the benefit of reduced charges on the material as well the stitching cost whereas for selected women self-help groups it became a revenue. Dr. Annie Ninan, Associate Professor, Dept. of Home Science was the coordinator for this activity.
