EBSB Club-Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the 75TH Independence Day Celebration at the college was jointly organized by the IQAC, Department of History, EBSB Club, Arts Club, NCC and NSS on 17.08.2022. Dr. K S Madhavan, the renowned historian and public intellectual inaugurated the programme. Among the various events held on this auspicious occasion. The EBSB Club members presented two songs of Himachal Pradesh, as a part of expressing our appreciation and respect towards Himachal Pradesh, the paired state under Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat. The songs included a Himachali patriotic song and a Pahadi folk song. Around seven members of the club participated in the event. The EBSB Club and NCC jointly organized a Culture Mix-National Integration Dance. A total of 77 students including the EBSB Club members, NCC cadets and students from various departments performed the traditional dances of various states of India. It included Ranga Pooja, Thiruvathira, Kummi, Garba, Ghoomar, Bhangra, Pahadi Naati and Bumbro dances of Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Kashmir respectively. The culture mix ended with the integration of all the nine dance teams in the presence of Bharat Matha. The Culture Mix- National Integration Dance of 45 minutes duration received wide applause from the audience. The EBSB Club student coordinator Ms. Shamila Rustha of V Sem B.Sc. Mathematics and NCC student coordinator Ms. Anaina of V Sem B A English arranged this mega event under the guidance of Dr. N V Fatimathu Zuhara (EBSB Coordinator), Ms. Loosiya (NCC Care taker) and Ms. Vineetha M K, Assistant Professor in English.
