Event: Hiroshima Day Competitive Programs Date: August 6, 2024 Location: KAHM Unity Women’s College Organized by: NSS Units 008 & 171

In commemoration of Hiroshima Day, the NSS Units of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri organized a series of competitive programs aimed at raising awareness about the impact of the atomic bomb and promoting peace. This annual event serves as a reminder of the devastating consequences of nuclear warfare and the importance of global peace and disarmament. The events included Poster making competition and Quiz competition. All the volunteers enthusiastically participated in these programs. The winners of quiz competition were Anu Zarin (3rd sem BA History), Muskina Banu (3rd sem BA History) and Fathima Sana ( 1st sem BSc Mathematics). The first place of Poster making competition was secured by Devika N ( 3rd sem BSc Mathematics), followed by Krishna Kripa K (1st sem BA History) and Fidha Fathima K ( 1st sem BSc Chemistry). The event not only honored the memory of those affected by the Hiroshima bombing but also encouraged participants to advocate for a more peaceful world.
