Research should be collaborative and should be applied for the benefit of the society, says Prof. (Dr.) M. Nasser, Pro-vice Chancellor of Calicut University.
The Pro-vice Chancellor of Calicut University, Prof. (Dr.) M. Nasser spoke about how Research can be translated to the society to provide a better output during the Inaugural function of the Research Centres ( Dept. of English and Dept. of Chemistry) at Korambayil Ahamed Haji Memorial Unity Women’s College, Manjeri. The inaugural function was held at the College Auditorium on 21st September, 2023. He also added that persistence is a key factor which pays when it comes to research work. He also mentioned how collaborative research can bring in more excellence. The welcome address was delivered by Dr. Jyoti P., Head of the Department of Chemistry. Principal, Prof (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur gave the Presidential address. This was followed by the special address by the former Principal Prof. P. N. Abdurahiman. Manager of the college, Jb. O. Abdul Ali and Former heads of the departments Dr. P.K. Babu ( Principal, Al Shifa College, Perinthalmanna) and Dr. A. I. Yahya (Associate Professor and Head, Department of Chemistry, University of Calicut) spoke on the occasion. Mr. Rahib B. (Staff Secretary) and Mr. Adham Thaneri (Secretary, Non-teaching Staff) delivered felicitation. Ms. Salha Mariyam (P.G. Representative) too felicitated the gathering. Dr. Shahina Mol A.K. (Head of the Department of English and IQAC Coordinator) delivered the vote of thanks. The inaugural function was followed by an invited lecture on “Exploring the Research Experience”. Dr. P. K. Babu (Principal, Al Shifa College, Perinthalmanna) served as the Resource person and the session was conducted for the post graduate students of the college.
