Industrial Visit

On 10th & 11th February 2024, the EBSB club members and other students of the Home Science department explored the culture and lifestyle in the amazing Kullu and Manali districts of Himachal Pradesh during the industrial visit organised by the department of Home Science. The mesmerising Beas river valley of Kullu and the snow covered landscapes of Manali captured the hearts of the viewers. Under the chill climate of Kullu, the students experienced the joy of river rafting in the Beas river. They also visited the famous monuments of Manali namely Buddhist Monastery and Hadimba Devi temple. The food and culture of Himachal people were also explored and the students tasted the delicious dishes of HP such as Thukpa, Siddhu, momos, etc. They also tried the ethnic dress of the female folk of Himachal Pradesh called ‘Pattu’. The harmonious blend of bright and light colours coupled with exquisite designs and accessories imparted attractive look to the students. The visit helped the students to experience the climate, food and culture of Himachal Pradesh and develop a deep understanding and respect towards the paired state. Dr N V Fatimathu Zuhara, Assistant Professor and EBSB Coordinator, Dr Annie Ninan, Associate Professor, Ms. Bushaira V, Assistant Professor (Adhoc) and Lt. Loosiya, KP, Assistant Professor (Adhoc) were also present during the visit.
