Department Quality Assurance Cell(DQAC), Postgraduate and Research Department of English organized a One Day Bridge Course titled, Catalyst, for the First year students who have joined for B A English Language and Literature on 2 August 2023. In the inaugural session, Dr. Shahina Mol. A.K., Head, P G Department of English, delivered the presidential address and enlightened the audience about the values and ideals humanities and literature convey to the students. In the two sessions followed by the inaugural session, Ms. M. K. Vineetha and Mr. Sidhique P., Assistant Professors of the English Department, handled sessions titled The Road Ahead and Aesthetics of Communication respectively. In the afternoon, Ms. Salha Mariyam Saleem, SQAC Member & PG Representative shared her experience at Unity and the kind of academic and professional exposure the department offers to the students for their intellectual and academic growth. This was followed by the interaction of the faculty members with the new students, and cultural activities organized by them. The programme came to an end with the vote of thanks of Ms. Aswathy M.P., the class tutor.
