As a part of World Ozone Day Celebration, PG Department of Chemistry and Science club of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, conducted a one day seminar on 16th September 2022 at 10.30 am in AC seminar hall. The resource person was Dr. Mehar Al Minnath, Assistant Professor of Research Department of Chemistry at MES College, Mampad. The programme was started by welcome speech of Dr. Jyothi P, HoD PG Department of chemistry and Principal Dr. Muhammed Basheer Ummathur presided over the function. Resource person shared a lot of information to us about ozone layer. She talked about current thickness of ozone layer, reasons for the depletion of ozone layer such as CFC, HCFC, Chapman Ozone-Oxygen cycle and also about merits of Montreal Protocol. The session called for the protection of Ozone layer and environment.
