FITNESS CENTRE

A person who is fit is capable of living life to its fullest extent. The college has a well maintained fitness centre. It provides a wide variety of exercise equipment to use. It provides a safe and comfortable workout environment. The fitness centre forms a part of the indoor stadium. It functions from 6am to 6pm which is also availed to the hostel mates. Since college life can be stressful exercising is a great way to mitigate that stress.

Live Better: Health and Well being

Regardless of the place of use, the installation of this playfit outdoor fitness equipment is advantageous for all. It increases the appeal of any given location. It is a free and social exercise option that does not require any form of commitment or preparation and can be practiced in any type of clothing all year around.
The promotion of physical activity is important as it is vital for disease prevention and health promotion. Physical activity outdoors, lowers a person’s blood pressure and heart rate. As a result, exercise outdoors feels less strenuous than similar exercise outdoors.
Fresh outdoor air and natural light invigorate and provide more energy for the mind and body. Sunshine provides the vitamin D that we need. Sun light also enhances energy generation in the muscles and oxidation of the tissues. The addition of nature and fresh air helps making exercise fun.
Equipment used in outdoors requires no electricity, is low in maintenance, and uses very little human resources. It has minimal impact on the natural environment and the end uses may link environmental contribution with greater enjoyment of exercise.
All in all, outdoor exercise benefits the whole body by bringing joy, well being and a better mood.

Indoor Stadium

The college has a new identity of owning an indoor stadium of 855m2 constructed with a grant of Rs40 lakhs from UGC and Rs 35 lakhs from the management. The ambiance is pleasant with wooden track measuring 21m x 18m and with ten turbo ventilators. The provision of the indoor stadium includes three Badminton Courts, three Table Tennis Court, Taekwondo Mat etc.

PLAY Ground

The college has its own lush green play ground with a space of 76mx 60.5m. The ground is spacious enough for the students to practise net ball, cricket, football, tug of war and athletics. The veranda of the indoor stadium is utilised as pavilion which is situated to the side of the playground. Seating arrangements are also provided surrounding the ground for the viewers to watch matches and games along with the incentives to the participants.
