Visit to Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH-PHFI) On 12th February 2024, 42 students and staff members from the Department of Home Science visited the Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH) established under the Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) at Gurgaon, Haryana. The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is an autonomously governed educational and research institution which is actively engaged in community research for the improvement of health and nutrition of the community. The purpose of the visit was to get direct information and experience on the functioning and services of the prestigious national institute working in the field of community health. Dr. Jyothi Sharma and Dr. Ranjana, the Additional Professors of IIPH gave an orientation of the activities and research conducted under PHFI. An awareness on the several e-learning programmes, certification programmes and short term courses provided by PHFI to train and upskill the academicians in community nutrition was also given. The institutional visit guided the students to develop a deep understanding about PHFI and the potential future workplaces. It also inspired the students to dedicate their knowledge and skills for the betterment of public health nutrition.
