he PG Department of Home Science celebrated World Food Day with various events like Khana peena food stall,flash mob, eating challenge and treasure hunt on 16/10/2023.The theme of the World Food Day 2023 is “Water is life,Water is food,Leave no one behind”.The programme was inaugurated by the principal Prof(Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur. The Khana Peena Food Stall was organised by I st yr Post graduate students with 14 nutritious food items prepared by them. The theme of the flash mob was to emphasize the prevention of food wastage.The aim of the treasure hunt was to encourage healthy eating among the students avoiding foods and popularization of millet based recipes.
