K.A. H. M. Unity Women’s College, Manjeri was established in 1991 and is run by Muslim Educational and Cultural Association (MECA), a registered society and as the first women’s educational institution in the field of higher education in Malappuram district in Kerala. The college was founded by the visionary, Janab Korambayil Ahamed Haji. He envisaged the institution as a center based on the values of integrity and social commitment, promoting learning and culture. The college strives to produce intellectually competent, morally upright and spiritually inspired citizens in the service of the nation. Formed under the Muslim Educational and Cultural Association (MECA) in 1991, Korambayil Ahamed Haji Memorial Unity Women’s College Manjeri was the first women’s educational institution in the higher education sector of Malappuram District. The college was founded by the visionary Janab Korambail Ahmad Haji. He envisioned the institution as a center based on the values of integrity and social responsibility and the college strives to produce intellectually competent, morally upright and spiritually motivated citizens in the service of the nation promoting learning and culture. A green campus spread over 17 acres; the college is affiliated to the University of Calicut. The institution is known for its academic excellence and research potential. The college has 10 degree courses , 7 PG courses and two research departments, about 1700 students and 72 faculty members. College celebrated Silver Jubilee in 2021.
