Financial Literacy Awareness Session by NSS in association with Reserve Bank of India

NSS units 008 and 171 of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri conducted a financial literacy awarness session on 9th September in collaboration with Reserve Bank of India. Ms Hana Fathima NSS secretary, hosted the programme. The session was welcomed by Dr. Faseela P., NSS programme officer. The session was inaugurated by the Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Muhammed Basheer Ummathur. The session was lead under the guidance of Mr. Titten MA, Lead Bank Manager, Malappuram. The session was lead by Mr. Muthukumar. M, Manager FIDD, Reserve Bank of India. The programme was made a huge success with the help of Mr. Haris U (NSS programme officer), Mr. Nithin (Areekode Block Associate), Ms. Muhsinath (Malappuram Block Associate), Mr. Shibu (District Coordinator). First of all, Ms. Muhsinath gave an overview of the session. The main awareness session was then held by Mr. Muthukumar M. In the session, he educated on the importance of financial freedom and also walked through some of the main fraud activities happening in our country. He shared some tips and tricks to save and invest money. At the end of the programme, they introduced a national level quiz about financial literacy and paired up some students and registered them for the quiz. It was a really helpful session for all the NSS volunteers and an eye opener to all the financial struggles and frauds happening in our country. The session was concluded by the vote of thanks of Ms. Hana Fathima, NSS secretary.
