The department of Physics, K.A.H.M. Unity Women’s College, Manjeri organized an International Webinar. The first talk of the webinar was held on 23/07/2022, Saturday at 7.30 pm in the Google meet platform. The session was inaugurated by Dr. Muhammed Basheer Ummathur, Principal of the college Dr. Mohammed Saleem Cholayil, Post doctoral Associate at School of Physics and Astronomy, University of Minnesota, USA shared his ideas on the topic “Exploring the Universe with Gravitational Waves.” He explained the limitations of Newtonian gravity, the concept of General Theory of Relativity, Gravitational Waves and their significance as the messengers from distant universe. More than hundred people attended the session. Mr.Muhammed Abdul Hakkeem , co ordinator of the program and head of Physics department conducted the Welcome speech and Mr. Sabeer V , Assistant Professor of Physics delivered the Vote of thanks.
