The Department of Malayalam of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, organized a Reading Day celebration on June 19, 2024, at 10:30 AM in the seminar hall. The event aimed to promote the importance of reading and encourage students to develop a lifelong habit of reading.
The program was inaugurated by the esteemed Principal of Unity Women’s College,prof. Dr.Muhammed Basheer Ummathoor, who spoke about the benefits of reading and the changes coused due to lack of reading habits in this e-world The event commenced with a warm welcome speech by Diya, a second-semester student, who eloquently expressed the significance of reading and the positive impact it has on personal growth and academic excellence.
The chief guest for the occasion was Mr. Sharafudheen AK Assistant professor malayalam from Noble Women’s College, Manjeri. He encouraged the students to embrace reading not just as a hobby but as a fundamental part of their lives.
