The Department of Zoology and Government Medical College Hospital, Manjeri jointly observed World Cancer Day 2023 with a session on Cancer awareness by Oncologist, Dr. Aneena PV. Around hundred students, and faculty members along with officials from the Health department of GMCM attended. The interactive session threw light into the multiple causative factors , warning signs of cancer, screening, early detection and available treatment aspects. The theme for the years- 2022, 2023 and 2024 ‘CLOSE THE CARE GAP’ was widely promoted .
