An Anti-Sexual Harassment Cell is functioning in the College which focuses on preventing and addressing instances of sexual harassment. This cell ensures a safe and respectful environment for all members of the institution, fostering a culture of respect and dignity.
Objectives:
1. Conduct Awareness Campaigns :Educate members about what constitutes sexual harassment.
2. Policy Development: Establish clear policies and guidelines regarding sexual harassment, including definitions, procedures for reporting, and consequences of misconduct.
3. Redressal: Provide a safe, confidential, and accessible way for victims to report incidents of sexual harassment.
4. Counseling Services : Offer psychological support and counseling to victims of sexual harassment.
5. Disciplinary Action: Ensure that appropriate disciplinary action is taken against perpetrators found guilty of sexual harassment, in line with the institution’s policies and legal requirements.
6. Monitoring and Evaluation: Regularly review and update policies, and evaluate the effectiveness of the anti-sexual harassment measures in place.
Mechanism of Action:
Google form is available in the College Website to report any action under this category. The committee will take care of the complaints regularly and the College will take necessary disciplinary actions against the person found guilty. Depending upon the gravity of the harassment case ,institution will forward the case to external legal authorities. In all these situations college will ensure the protection of the victim.
