Swatchata Hi Seva Cleaning Campaign Cum Trekking to Unity Hills, Manjeri (World Tourism Day) 27 Sep 2024
As part of the Swatchata Hi Seva (SHS) initiative, NCC Cadets of KAHM Unity Women’s College, Manjeri, organized a cleaning campaign cum trekking event to Unity Hills, Manjeri on 27 September 2024, coinciding with World Tourism Day. The theme, “Swasth Swachhata ki Bhagidaan,” underscored the cadets’ dedication to environmental cleanliness. Led by ANO Lt. Loosiya K.P. and LCPL Fathima Hiba M.P. (3rd Sem BSc Computer Science), 65 cadets participated, trekking through Unity Hills while cleaning the roadsides and promoting eco-tourism. The event aimed to promote cleanliness, instill social responsibility, foster teamwork, and encourage environmental conservation. The trekking activity helped cadets develop physical endurance, teamwork, and leadership skills. The outcome was overwhelmingly successful, with enhanced community awareness about sanitation and hygiene, demonstrated leadership skills, and a cleaner environment.
